Deals and Purchases
How do I get the Deal?
Just click "BUY NOW" before the deal ends. We'll charge your credit card at the end of the day for any purchases you've made. Once your deal is available, you'll receive an email with a link to access it online.
How do I use my Deal?
Sign into your account to access and/or print your deals. The deal will display all the information you'll need including terms, expiration date, redemption location, etc. Just provide the merchant with the printed deal or pull it up on your ReaderCity app and enjoy!
When do I need to use my Deal by?
Use the deal whenever you like, just be sure to redeem it before the expiration date. Some deals may include restricted dates, but we'll list those for you if they apply.
What if I don't use the full value of the Deal upon redemption, can I get change or cash back?
Unless otherwise stated on the deal, you cannot receive store credit or cash back for the unused portion. So don't hold back, now's the time to indulge
Can I get an even better deal by combining my Deal with other offers or specials?
Most deals cannot be combined with additional offers unless the deal terms state otherwise. We like your style though, and suggest that you refer the deal to your friends. If three of your friends purchase the same deal, yours will be free. It's that easy.
What if my certificate is expired? Can the offer be extended?
The promotional value will expire on the date listed on the deal. If your deal has expired, the vendor should honor the face value (the amount you paid for the certificate) towards a future purchase; however, this process is based on applicable local laws. In the rare case that the merchant will not honor the voucher after the expiration date, ReaderCity will gladly offer you a refund in the form of ReaderCity credits. Please send details of the situation, along with your request, to email@example.com.
I changed my mind, can I get a refund?
If you have not redeemed your deal, you may receive a refund within one week of the purchase date. If you have not redeemed your deal within 90 days of the purchase date, you may receive a credit to your ReaderCity account. Please note there are no refunds for events unless the event is cancelled.
The business closed before I could redeem my deal. What do I do now?
If the business closes or it's impossible to redeem your deal, we'll make sure you get your money back within 90-days of purchase. After 90-days of purchase, we can provide you with a credit to your ReaderCity account.
Referrals and Gifts
Can I purchase a Deal as a gift?
Yes, that's very nice of you! You can send a deal as a gift during the checkout process or assign a previously purchased deal as a gift from within your account at any time.
I have a gift code, how do I claim it?
Lucky you! If you don't already have an account, you will need to register in order to redeem your code. Otherwise, simply enter the gift code in the field provided on your account page.
How many referrals can I make?
Spread your referral link far and wide. There is not a limit to the number of referrals you can make, but you are only eligible to receive one free deal per offer.
What happens after I refer a friend?
Once three of your friends purchase the same deal, you'll receive yours for free. Your credit card will be refunded for the amount you paid within 72 hours of the third referral purchase.
What is ReaderCity?
ReaderCity offers San Diego deals that are at least 50% off the retail price. There are no memberships, fees, or catches.
